George Haman – Guitar, Bass

George completed his Bachelor of Music in 2009 at the Australian Institute of Music, and has been teaching at Jumbonote Music School since 2007. In that time, George has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s best guitarists and has built a successful musical career through performing in highly successful rock outfits such as The Vandolls and Creo. His band has played extensively in all parts of the world, where George also won Best Guitarist Award in ‘World Battle of the Bands’ Germany. Away from all the rock madness, George has extensive teaching experience, and is a favorite amongst students with his hi energy filled classes. George is also very popular amongst advanced musicians looking to improve their technique and playing ability, as George is technically brilliant, and well versed in various styles such as classical, blues and jazz.


 

 
Massive Marthen – Piano

Massive has completed 7th Grade classical music in 2003 and 10th grade classical music in 2007. He has achieved a 4th Grade Golden Award for Theory and a Prize for Solfeggio. Massive has had vast experience teaching piano in both various schools and studios internationally. Massive has generated enormous respect from students, parents and teachers with his ability to motivate and discipline students to practice and achieve their full potential. Massive has a profound passion for music and loves sharing his skills with his students.



Dior Lee – Saxophone, Clarinet, Guitar

Dior Lee has been studying various disciplines of music since 2005. He has studied one year at Perth TAFE before relocating to the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney where he achieved a Bachelor of Music in Performance in 2007. Since then Dior has been performing around Sydney and teaching Saxophone, Guitar, Clarinet and Keyboards in various schools catering for all genres and age groups. Dior maintains a strong relationship with all his students which see’s him achieve amazing results with them musically.



 

Joel Jenkins - Piano

Joel studied classical piano from an early age, all the way through high school. After studying AMEB graded piano extensively, he decided to shift his tastes towards Contemporary/Jazz. He then went on to complete a Bachelor of Music at The Australian Institute of Music. There, he studied styles ranging from Jazz, Pop, Rock, Blues, Latin and Funk. Since finishing his studies, Joel is currently involved in a few different projects around Sydney, some being cover bands and some original projects. Most of these projects have blessed him with opportunities to work with some of Sydney’s A-Grade musicians. Joel is currently a piano tutor and vocal accompanist at JumboNote Music School and The Australian Institute of Music.

 



Joshua Phuah – Guitar, Bass, Drums

Josh has been playing music since 1998 and began a career as a music instructor in 2002. Josh’s area of expertise is the guitar, bass guitar and drums, and has had great success teaching these instruments to people of all ages over a broad range of styles. He has been playing in bands since the age of 14 and plays gigs across Sydney and the rest of the country regularly. He has completed numerous recordings with established bands and supported many international acts. He possesses an extensive knowledge of guitar gear and amplification, stage performance and a vast repertoire of playing styles and songs.

 

Ayshe Topal – Vocals

Aysha has been singing since she was 10, and studied voice and performance at the Australian Institute of Music in 2006, graduating with a Bachelor of Music in 2010. Aysha performs regularly in working bands, singing at corporate functions and festivals. She is one of Jumbonote’s most popular teachers, teaching close to fifty students individually on a weekly basis. Aysha teaches a wide range of vocal styles, most notably Jazz, Blues, Rhythm and Blues. Aysha attends regular vocal workshops conducted by industry leaders such as Erana Clark, and is always informed with the most modern vocal techniques, and passes on her knowledge to all her students.

 


Athena Anca - Violin

Violinist Athena Anca was introduced to music and classically trained at a young age. She has studied with artists such as Dilora Yakubova at the Cristofori music school in Singapore, Robert Davidovici of the Florida International University and Julian Quirit at the University of Melbourne, Conservatorium where Athena graduated with a Bachelor of Music.  Athena attended and performed at the Melbourne Youth Music summer programs and was a member of the Quirit String Orchestra, the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, in the JAJ Piano Trio. Her musical endeavors have brought her to play in musicals with the La Trobe Theatre Company where she played the violin in "The Sound of Music" and Artes Christi Productions where she will be joining the orchestra for the production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat". Her musical theatre repertoire includes shows such as "The Wiz" and "Seussical the Musical" where she was invited to play as part of the St Francis Xavier Production Orchestra.





Agus Sandjaya – Piano

Agus was born in Indonesia in 1987 and commenced his piano studies at age 6. He has participated in many music festivals and was invited to perform at the Commemoration of the French National Day at the Indonesian French Institutein 1999. He has competed in many piano competitions in Indonesia and achieved excellent results. One of his accomplishments was being the first-prize winner of the Yamaha Music Festival in Jakarta for the junior piano category in 2000. Agus completed his University of Sydney Foundation Program in 2006 and in the following year was accepted into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He has actively performed in lunch break concerts, master classes, and open day recitals held by the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as soloist and chamber musician. In May 2010, he premiered a short contemporary work by Australian composer Mark Isaacs in Momentary Pleasures, 2010 International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) World New Music Days. Agus was also the first prize-winner in the Sydney Eisteddfod for the Mixed Instrumental Ensemble section held in July 2010. Recently, he completed his Bachelor of Music Performance degree with First Class Honors, undertaking study with Dr. Paul Rickard-Ford.


Daniel Tsoltoudos – Drums

Daniel has been playing drums since he was 10, and studied it extensively in his teens before going to Australian Institute of Music in 2007 and finishing a Diploma in Performance in 2010. Daniel has toured around the world with numerous well known bands such as ‘Microwave Jenny’, ‘The Vandolls’, and ‘Creo’. Daniel has been teaching drums the last 5 years, and has extensive experience in teaching beginners and advanced students all styles in drumming.


Annie Blenkinsopp – Vocals, Piano

Annie arrived in Australia in the early 80’s to pursue her musical career that has spanned decades. Previous to this, Annie had intense studies in classical vocal training in Jakarta, Indonesia, and was a pop star in her homeland during her late teens. Her adult musical life has seen Annie perform in many bands, musicals and productions. Annie is a skilled vocalist, and a highly sought after vocal coach in Sydney due to her experience as performer, and her many years as a musical educator. Annie is versed in Classical, Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, and teaches students how to sight sing.




Darko Zoric – Principal

Darko started off playing classical piano at age 5 completing extensive grades in AMEB, and took up vocal studies at age 12. By 14, Darko started studying classical for high voices via AMEB, and took part in numerous performances throughout his teens. In his late teens, alongside with his classical vocal training, Darko ventured into more contemporary styles such as pop / rock, and began performing regularly with bands. Darko also studied a Bachelor of Psychology at Macquarie University, doing numerous studies in music being therapeutic. His vocal coaching career began in his early twenties, where he soon found JumboNote Music School after realizing that his vocal teaching was highly sought, and had the demand to be able to service students in a commercial capacity. To date, Darko has coached over 1000 vocalists, both male and female of varying styles, and of different ages. Darko currently performs regularly at corporate functions, is in the midst of recording a solo album, teaches vocals and piano, and runs JumboNote Music School.
